Prototypes
These prototypes show the interaction design, layout, and information architecture behind potential designs. Wireframes, conceptual designs, and audience-targeted redesigns showcase my underlying skills while the techniques are shown through the use of Visio and other drawing tools.
- 3D - CityGuide Handheld
- CityGuide handheld is a 3D prototype project that included a physical prototype, screen shots, and audience analysis.
- Medium Fidelity - Restaurant
- This project prototyped portions of a restaurant order entry system, using Powerpoint to simulate some of the flow and interactions.
- Senior Usability Redesign
- This project included an audit of a financial site for the "senior" audience (55+), and then making design optimizations for that audience.

- Vision - Music Discovery
- Group project creating a vision prototype for a hearing-based music discovery player.
User Experience Research
These projects show my user research and reviewing skills. I have interviewed users, conducted formal usability tests, and conducted expert reviews to make informed interaction design choices.
- Usability Audit - Seniors
- The usability audit for seniors focused on a financial Web site from the perspective of the "senior" audience (55+) for accessibility and usability.
- Expert Review - AC Controls
- This expert review was a research project on working memory for a theory course. The case study used is a control system for an air conditioner.
- Interviews - Intelligent Refrigerator
- This project consisted of user research to inform the design of an intelligent refrigerator. I conducted user interviews made recommendations based on the results.
- Usability Test - Digital Camera
- This was a group project to perform a formal usability test on the functions of a digital camera. I contributed to all portions of the test design and acted as moderator for two participants.
Technical Writing
Technical writing projects show my writing and illustration skills.
- Procedures - Compressor Change
- Procedural document instructing technicians how to swap out a burned-out air conditioner compressor.

- Manual outlining procedures, parts, and diagrams for servicing an air conditioning unit.

- Manual outlining the setup and operation of a fan device.
